Student Ministry
Helping Students Build a Faith That Lasts
The teenage years are filled with opportunities, challenges, questions, and decisions.
At Neartown Church, we want students to develop a faith that is genuinely their own...a faith rooted in Scripture, shaped by authentic relationships, and centered on Jesus Christ.
We believe students are not just the future of the church. They are an important part of the church today.
Gather
Worship Together
Students begin Sunday mornings by gathering with the larger church family for worship because we believe intergenerational worship matters.
On the first and third Sundays of each month, students are dismissed after the music portion of the service for a student-focused Bible study and discussion designed specifically for their stage of life.
This rhythm allows students to remain connected to the life of the church while also building meaningful relationships with other students and leaders.
Connect
Grow Together
Following Jesus was never meant to be a solo journey.
Students need trusted leaders, meaningful friendships, and a safe place to ask honest questions about faith and life.
Through intentional relationships, student gatherings, and regular socials, students are encouraged, challenged, and supported as they grow.
One of the favorite rhythms of Student Ministry is our Third Sunday Lunch, where students spend time together after church building friendships and having fun.
Serve
Make a Difference Together
We want students to discover that following Jesus means more than attending church.
Students are encouraged to use their gifts, serve others, and make a difference in their homes, schools, church, and community.
As they serve, they learn leadership, responsibility, and what it means to live on mission.
Partnering With Parents
We believe parents are the primary spiritual influence in a student's life.
Our role is to encourage, equip, and support parents as they help their students follow Jesus.
Together, we want to help students build a faith that remains strong long after they leave home.
Safe and Trusted Leadership
All Student Ministry volunteers are trained and background checked.
We take seriously the responsibility of creating a safe environment where students can grow spiritually, build healthy relationships, and experience the love of Christ.
